Four important things to consider when choosing a transportation company.

So, you're considering hiring a ground transportation provider to transport the most important people in your life. We hope to offer you a perspective that helps you choose one company from the many that claim to offer the best service in town. In all honesty, your experience and even your lives may depend on how you interpret the four following facts when choosing a company to drive you in their vehicles to wherever it is that you are going. We wrote this list because we understand what you are going through and we care about helping you. making the right decision can make the difference between a wonderful vacation and a complete disaster.

  1.  1. Reliability.

If you are trying to travel from one place to another, you need a provider that is simply where they are supposed to be, when they are supposed to be there. This is not rocket science however it seems a great number of companies do not place this at the top of their list of priorities. In fact, if they do not consider this to be the very most important aspect of their business, they do not understand what it means to have a successful, professional service oriented business in the travel/hospitality industry. We place reliability above all else because as our saying goes, "if your driver never shows up, what else matters?" Getting it right the very first time and every time is critical.

  2.  2. Safety.

Most major cities have some sort of regulatory agency over seeing the commercial ground transportation business in their areas. The purpose is to make certain that vehicles operated commercially undergo rigorous routine safety inspections before they are approved to transport passengers within boundaries of the local city, county, port and airports. You should always ask about the permitting in the areas where your service is to be delivered as to avoid reserving transfers with a company that is operating illegally. In Orlando, Florida for instance, all drivers operating vehicles for hire must have a criminal background check performed before they can obtain a permit to work as a chauffeur. Next to reliability, safety is the most important factor when choosing the one company that is right for the job.

Now this is where it gets interesting. You see, the third and fourth most important items on our list can be argued as to whether one is more important than the other based on what type of person you are and what is more important to you individually. We decided to place number three, comfort ahead of affordability because we believe there truly are two types of traveler. There are those who are willing to sacrifice their comfort to save a few bucks and there are those who are willing to pay a few bucks more to be more comfortable. You decide what is most important to you.

  3.  3. Comfort.

There is no substitute for a comfortable ride. You can either relax and enjoy one or it can be something completely different altogether! The truth is that 99% of the websites for transportation companies display magazine photo, airbrushed images of vehicles they do not have in their fleet to disguise the fact that they are operating unsafe, downright disgusting shuttle buses and they reserve the right to direct you (hide you) in some remote location in the airport until they can get a driver to round up groups of strangers to share your nightmare of a ride. Avoid any company that does not publish actual photos of the vehicles in their fleet, and just because a low, flat, per person rate may seems like a bargain, the vehicles most often broken down on the side of the road are these over crowded dirty shuttle services that are interested more in volume than in you or your experience.

  4.  4. Affordability.

You get what you pay for. An affordable service is one that provides excellent customer service and personal attention to details. If the average cost of a taxi metered transfer is $2.50 per mile and you can find clean private luxury transportation for around $3.00 per mile you are doing quite well. Our transfers are often less than the cost of a taxi to Port Canaveral.
